Why the eBIZ project?
Harmonising e-Business processes and data exchanges for SMEs in the textile/clothing and footwear sectors in the Single Market
In an increasingly complex and fast-changing trade/economic environment, the fashion and footwear industries requires fast time-to-market reaction.
Standards and agreed reference architectures allow suppliers, manufacturers and retailers to connect their businesses within the value chain. Despite lot of initiatives in the fashion industry, standardisation and widespread adoption by users is still lacking…
The eBIZ-TCF project is a 2-year cooperation project launched in January 2008 by the European Commission to boost e-business processes in the Textile/Clothing and Footwear (TCF) Industries.
Welcome to the website of the eBIZ-TCFproject. On this website you will find public information on the objectives, activities and results of the work of the eBIZ project. You can also find out how you could be involved in this project.
*This video is produced in the framework of the eBIZ-TCF project and it is released solely for dissemination purposes, i.e. to support: understanding of the project, the benefits of the eBIZ Reference Architecture and the results of the eBIZ pilots. In particular the video promotes the e-Business harmonisation. This video or any of its parts shall not be used for commercial promotion or for purposes other then those explicitly authorised in writing.
After 2 years of successful development and tests, in 2010 the eBIZ team focuses on promoting its results, in particular by means of the eBIZ national events. Organised by the project team in close cooperation with stakeholders from different European countries, the events are set up to introduce the benefits of harmonised e-Business to the fashion companies of the whole supply-chain, particularly SMEs, and ICT providers.
Expected participants, such as CEO of Textile, Clothing and Footwear companies, as well as IT managers, will receive updated information in their mother tongue on achievements like the eBIZ Architecture and on the experiences of companies involved in the pilot test phases.
